St. Luke's Hospice House
The goal of St. Luke’s Hospice is to provide hospice care in the place the patient calls home. Sometimes a patient needs additional pain control and symptom management that cannot be done in the home setting. When the hospice medical director, the hospice team of professionals, and the family agree that this is the patient’s situation, the patient may be transferred to St. Luke’s hospice house. In the home-like setting of the hospice house, with 24 hour visitation, the patient and family will receive the care of the inpatient hospice team of professionals 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-per-week with the goal of the patient returning to their own home setting.
“When I first learned Hospice was to be brought in I was really scared. Now I thank God for your kind and caring nurses. Without their help I would have fallen apart. God bless you all.” — Phyllis E.
